If you are having problems with your loan servicing agent, please do the following: 1) Send them a cetrified letter asking for a qualified written request stating the problem, stating the time frame that you excpet the problem to be solved. Then file a complaint with the FTC, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and your local state Financial office who licenses these mortgage loan servicing agents. My recommendation, do NOT negotiate over the phone, ask for everything in writing, including the fact that you owe them a debt detailing what fees they are charging you. Be polite and persistant, in writing. Document, document, docment your efforts to resolve the problems. If they are trashing your credit score, then file a complaint with the credit bureau showing your side of the story.
